A Little About Myself

My goal is to bring my paintings to a life of their own where I strive to capture the moment and feeling as if you were there, the mood expanded by colors, colors, colors.... Can there ever be enough colors.

I started painting at age 13, a painting for my grandmother.  I am a self taught Artist, but that does not mean that I haven't learned a lot from other Artists over the years.  I look at everything as a painting, always have.  Growing up in Oregon, I was lucky enough to be around beauty everywhere.  I started painting in Acrylic's, mostly do to the cost, but by High School, I fell in love with Oils.  The colors are for me the best way to express myself.

I always crave more color.

In my younger years, I belonged to "The Gallery 30", a select group of 30 Artists in Eugene, Oregon.  My Artworks were displayed in many show's with my art group and I won multiple 'Best of Show' over that time in my life.  We traveled alot and I enjoyed Painting with the group.   I taught classes at the Gallery, it's a lot of fun learning how other artists express themselves.

The Winds of Life brought me to the Northern California area where I met my Husband, who by the way is also 'Terry Taylor'.  We built a Manufacturing Business in the Sacramento area, where we built Products for the Big Rig and Light Truck Industry.

Taylor Wings - a National Manufacturer of Air Deflectors for Fuel Conservation, Tool Boxes and many other Trucking Products.  To say that kept me pretty busy would be an

understatement.

But I did find time to teach Painting classes for 13 years at several Eskaton Retirement locations.  I truly enjoyed my students and got very attached to many of them.  So much wisdom and historical knowledge, my students kept me in stitches and amazement with their stories of Life.  What I learned is that you really can teach anyone to paint if they really want to.  So don't be afraid to try it.

I continued to Paint, but I must say that running a Business and by the way raising Twin Boys will take a toll on your creative abilities.  Life has a way of happening . . . .

Selling our Business and Retiring has given me back time for my Art and I am bursting with unfinished paintings that are flowing out of me.  It's a great time to be an Artist, you can sell your Artwork online or Galleries, It's very exciting. â€‹I'm so blessed to be living my dream.

Keep an eye on me, there's so much more to come !
